Wide-Temperature LCD Display Modules (-30 °C and Colder)
Our standard operating range is -20 °C to +70 °C. Equipment that switches on cold - an unheated outdoor cabinet, a charging post, a vehicle left overnight - needs the wide-temperature line below, rated colder than that as standard.

Selection rule
Selection rule: a published operating temperature of -30 °C or colder (our wide-temperature line, typically rated to -40 °C). Nothing else is filtered - if a published model meets that rule it is in the table below, and you can check it against the specification on its own product page.

When this is not the right spec
Wide-temperature glass and backlight are a real cost step, not a free upgrade - if the equipment lives in a heated enclosure or is never switched on cold, the standard -20 °C range covers it and there is no reason to pay for the wider rating.
Wide-Temperature modules - questions
What is the difference between operating range and cold start?
Operating range is how cold the display can run once it is on; cold start is whether it switches on reliably at that temperature in the first place. Equipment that has been off overnight in an unheated space needs the wide-temperature rating for cold start, not just for the average running temperature.
How much colder do wide-temperature modules go than standard?
Standard is -20 °C to +70 °C; the models on this page are rated -30 °C or colder, with most of our wide-temperature parts rated to -40 °C. Each model's exact figure is in the table above and on its own product page.
Do wide-temperature modules cost more?
Yes - the glass, sealant and backlight driving all change to hold performance at the colder rating. It is worth it only when the equipment genuinely sees that temperature; for a heated cabinet, standard range is the better value.
