I2C (I²C) LCD and OLED Display Modules
Two wires - SDA and SCL - shared with any other I²C devices on the same bus. It is the lowest pin count of any display interface we offer, at the cost of the lowest bandwidth.

Only 3 I²C models are published with a full specification so far - I²C is a standard interface option across the categories linked below, and we develop around 120 new models a year. Send your size and resolution rather than assuming it is not available.
Best fit
Best for extremely pin-constrained designs driving a small monochrome or OLED panel at modest resolution - status icons, short text fields, simple graphs. It matches naturally with our OLED and COG lines, which are mostly small and low-power by design.

When I²C is not the right choice
Not suitable for colour TFT motion graphics or anything that needs to redraw quickly - I²C's bandwidth ceiling is well below SPI's, let alone RGB or MIPI. If the panel needs to animate, choose a faster interface even at a smaller size.
Product categories that use this interface
OLED Display Modules
Monochrome and colour OLED modules from 0.49" to 2.42" with I2C, SPI and parallel interfaces.
Graphic LCD Modules
Monochrome dot-matrix graphic modules - 128x64, 192x64, 240x128 - COG and COB, FSTN and STN, low power.
Character LCD Modules
Alphanumeric modules 8x2 to 20x4 with 6800, I2C and SPI interfaces and multi-colour backlight.
I²C - questions
How many published I²C models do you have right now?
3 on the site today, both small OLED panels - I²C is a common option across our OLED and character/COG lines where the resolution is modest enough for the bus to keep up.
Can I put an I²C display on the same bus as other sensors?
Yes, that is the usual reason to choose it - confirm the display's I²C address does not clash with anything else already on the bus, and that your pull-up resistors suit the combined bus capacitance.
Is I²C fast enough for a changing graph or waveform?
For a slow-moving value, yes. For anything that needs to redraw many times a second, no - move to SPI or a wider interface at that point rather than fighting I²C's bandwidth ceiling.
